Loved today’s NPR blog post asking American expats to solicit opinions of America from the people in their local communities. The results? Well, for the most part they won’t surprise you. The general consensus—which focused on our affection for guns and lard—across countries and continents, makes me a little sad about the state of our country and culture. This was probably my favorite of the collection: “‘A place to gasp at, but not to go to.’ — Holly-Nicole Nwangwa, 23, Japan.” Take a gander at the rest and let me know what you think in the comments!
