This ambient ad for Coca-Cola was truly inspired: Coke took a close eye to their logo and found in the whirly script a Danish flag. (Bit of trivia: the Danish flag, or Dannebrog, is apparently the oldest flap in the world!) From there, they built up an idea that promotes Coke’s “Open Happiness” campaign, and embraces Denmark as the Happiest Country in the World.
The little video also shed light on a Danish tradition: welcoming arrivals at the airport with flags. I’ve been reading on various blogs that some folks aren’t too fond of the tradition, but I think its sweet. I’ve been lucky enough a few times to be greeted with signs and flowers, and its always a good feeling. What do you think?
