Stay at your job, or backpack around Asia for seven months?
Business Insider had an inspiring story today about two friends who decided to quit their jobs and head out to Asia to travel for seven months. A ballsy move, but one I can certainly get on board with it. I loved the following quote:
“Now they’re back where they started — at least physically. ‘Jen’s an accountant and I’m writing, just like before,’ Hilary said. ‘But the trip changed who we are.'”
Have to say, that’s the best part about traveling and living abroad—it’s not necessarily a career move, but it makes you such a fuller person when you come back to the life you’ve left.
